After authorizing the transfer of the site with Sunshine through the initial contract, here are the steps the advertiser must take:

Step 1 Advertiser must prepare the domain for transfer:

This requires that advertiser contacts or logs into their current registrar and:

1. Unlock the domain for transfer.
2. If applicable, cancels private registration.
3. Verifies that the administrative contact email is valid and the administrator is aware that a transfer request notification is coming.
4. Requests or obtains the authorization code.

Step 2 Advertiser will receive an email authorizing transfer that is confirmed with the codes provided in the email and the authorization code obtained in Step 1.

The timing of the email in Step 2 will depend on if the advertiser indicated that the transferring domain is connected to an existing site. If so, this email will not be issued until after site is approved by advertiser. Otherwise the transfer will depend on how quickly the advertiser completes Step1 and Step2. It normally takes 5 – 7 days.
Transfers can take a long period of time to propagate thoughout the internet - usually under 72 hours - until it is complete one person may see the old site while another person with a differnet ISP might see the new site.
If you would like to supply the content and images from a previous site and incorporate it into a new one, this is achievable. Since the sites are constructed new on our platform, then old sites can not be directly uploaded unto the system.
Yes. If you need a shorter or more keyword rich URL, this can be accomodated.
Yes. You can, potentially, point as many domain names as desired at the domain name of the new site. These domains can be purchased and arranged through Sunshine Pages. You can also request an existing registrar to set up the forwarding of these additional domains to the new domian after the site has been approved and released to the web.
Yes. This is often done when an old page with a certain page url is replaced with a new page with a different url, and the advertiser does not want to lose the search engine ranking or traffic of the old page.
