In today’s write up, I would like to state the importance of branding which has become the key factor for a Company’s success. What’s the difference between “Branding” and a “Brand”? All Brands are products but not all products are brands. A brand usually represents the quality of a certain product. Branding simply means advertising a product with new features, an attempt to make it stand apart from the rest. Branding is all about connecting to your target audience as much as you are differentiating yourself from others. The recognition that a branding exercises gains comes after years of practice, hard work and dedication. Businesses need to achieve Quality, Reliability, Guarantee, and Trustworthiness, which comes from an enhanced brand value and brand image.
To Have a Name- the First Step towards it would be “Branding”. Why branding? It’s because our focus is solely our customers to whom are products are targeted. After all Honest Labour bears a lovely face. Branding is a part and parcel of any business.
I have some simple tips which will enable a great branding exercise:
- We should have a clear picture on what we really want in our product. Are we looking out for short term goals or are we looking out for long term goals. thereby it’s important to know the missions and visions of the organization.
- The next step would be how to improvise on our products. In simple terms identifying what’s that one quality you lack, the made the other man move a step further.
- A thorough research on not only about one’s own company but also our competitors and customers because -In today’s world competition is stiff.
- Next step ‘home working and devising new ways to that would help you to top all.
- How? Gotta train one’s mind accordingly by being the smartest, wisest and by thinking analytically.
- From the various choices you gotta possess a bent of mind to choose the right strategy to implement.
- Should know where to hit the nail so that your product is an instant success.
- Above all during these initial periods “Branding” depends on one’s communication skills.
Branding needs to build a strong brand image, for example,
‘‘A lady sitting next to Raymond Loewy at dinner began the conversation.
Why? She asked did you put two X’s in “Exxon”
‘Why’
Because I couldn’t help noticing it!!!
‘Well’, he responded that’s the answer.
The key for effective branding is “to think out of the box” Talent wins games but teamwork and intelligence wins championships. And that’s the secret of success for a company’s success in this dynamic business world.
